Wedding Anniversary

I just wanted to share this with you written by Amelia and posted on our timeline this morning...

10 years of marriage, A rose for every year,
many smiles for every tear
Way more of the first than ever of the latter
What’s deep in your hearts is all that really matters

You've learned a lot, yet still a lot to learn
For that “smile in your eyes” both hearts still yearn
Keep giving each other a chance to show your love
You’ve always found a way to rise above

Both husband and wife, know what they have and you’ve made it this far
They often say to each other just how lucky they are
To have what they have when they look in each other's eyes
They both know they’ve been given the ultimate prize

A family who cares and can say how they feel
There just is no doubt this family is real
It’s a life full of hustle that is crazy sometimes
But I can honestly say these are the “BEST of times”

You’d both do it again in a minute no doubt
You have in your heart what neither can’t live without
These last 10 years have been so special to each other
I think I see now what everyone else can see how happy they are, my parents, my father and mother.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

It feels like just last week I was complaining to get up and go to the wedding, grumpy all day and all night with the lack of sleep. With all our family and friends together to celebrate two single people becoming one. Marriage is a weird thing, spending the rest of my life with someone still does not sound appealing, but you, mother, father, have worked out how to just that. Most people in life do not work well together, but you two fit like a puzzle pice together. Congratulations on the ten year anniversary, and for many more years to bring. You've come so far together and never let anything come between you, (don't know how you did it!) moving to New Zealand was a big deal for us all, but with you two by my side it felt like a breeze. I hope you both enjoy today, as it is your special day. Congratulations again

St David's Day

Approx 2008
It was 6 months ago today we lost the greatest Saint of all. Dad passed away suddenly and mum now resides in Porthcawl. Ellen is writing another piece about Grampa she proudly exclaims. How he would have loved to read her writing. How he would have loved the time with the boys. Watching Iolo grow in college and chastising him for bumping his car. How you're like your father he would have said. He crashed his car in the lanes when he was 18 too.

Well Amelia has started school and has joined the debating club. They have elected to put her on third to sum up the oppositions arguments and rebut said arguments. She is quite excited that the debate will be held in Howick college. Hannah came third in competitive swimming in school and Ellen is just Ellen, smashing her reading and spelling. She has joined the Enviro club and Hannah is in the choir. Hannah needed to audition for the choir too and she got in! She sang "acapella"  on her own.

Other news to date. Ellen has been confirmed as Catholic. We are still house hunting and we are all back in school.

We all miss you Dad.
