December 2010

Christmas has come and gone. Father Christmas left a netbook for Amelia. Moxie scooter for Ellen and a bike for Hannah. The Caudy family have four and half months left in the UK before we emigrate to New Zealand. The process for this has been long and tumultus but essentially it goes something like this:
  1. Obtain all of your original certificates. I mean all. O levels, A levels, degree and birth certificates
  2. Get a NZQA assessment for the main qualifications studied.
  3. Register with the NZTC - teaching council
  4. Once this has been done you can begin applying for jobs. However I secured a job before my NZQA and NZTC was completed. In so doing my immigaration points went throught the ceiling.
  5. Complete an expression of interest on the immigation site.
Joanne has been busily researching areas to live. Beachlands in Auckland seems to be the favourite at the moment.

October Half Term 2010

Another half term and we are all here cleaning the house. I have left the chiuldren, well Ellen and Amelia to clean the kitchen after lunch. Lets see how they get on. Hannah is little miss destructive. Anything she touches she untidies, breaks or gets dirty. She is like a whirling dervish.

September 25th 2010

It's Saturday afternoon here in Penclawdd and we are here in the house preparing food for this evening. Hannah has been spending days with Petra for the last two weeks. Beverly has been away to Turkey and Beverly normally picks up the girls from school. It is a lovely day outside. The house is up for sale and we were recently featured in the property post. We are seriously looking at moving to New Zealand, the land of the long white cloud.

Amelia, Hannah and Ellen can be seen in the photo and we are looking forward to the adventures ahead.
